Fingerjoint and Optimized Timber (SKH KOMO) Quality mark for the building industry KOMOŽ is a quality mark for the building industry. The basis for KOMOŽ certification is always a National Assessment Directive (BRL).
SKH issues KOMOŽ quality declarations to producers respectively suppliers of timber, timber products, timber constructions, other products and services.
KOMOŽ quality declarations could be: - a KOMOŽ attest;
- a KOMOŽ product certificate;
- a KOMOŽ attest-with-product certificate;
- a KOMOŽ process certificate.
SKH has a license agreement with 'Stichting Bouwkwaliteit' for the use of the KOMOŽ-hallmark.
A producer respectively a supplier obtains a KOMOŽ -quality declaration when the product or service being supplied complies with the requirements as laid down in the so-called national assessment directive. An assessment directive mentions, among other things, requirements to which a product or service shall comply.
An assessment directive is authorized by the Board of Experts of SKH after this document has been accepted by the market parties concerned and in collaboration with the 'Stichting Bouwkwaliteit' as a national assessment directive.
